The new A07 PRO by AIYIMA is an ultra low distortion and high definition amplifier with a high power chip by Texas Instruments. Can be used as a 2.0 channel amplifier and 2.1 channel amplifier with subwoofer.
The AIYIMA A07 PRO amplifier has a metal enclosure made of scratch
resistant aluminium with a detachable front panel and rear panel. The
connectivity ports are located on the rear and include red/white RCA
inputs, 3.5mm line out and banana plugs for external stereo speakers.
The AIYIMA A07 PRO amplifier supports 2 ohm stereo speakers, 4 ohm
stereo speakers and 8 ohm stereo speakers.
There is no 3.5mm headphone
port on the AIYIMA A07 PRO amplifier; other than a line out 3.5mm port,
which cannot be used for headphones because it has no amplification
built-in
to it. It is not capable of driving low impedance loads (e.g.
headphones) other than very high impedance loads like a power
amplifier or active subwoofer. That said, you can can still
connect headphones to the AIYIMA A07 PRO amplifier but, you will
need to do it via a headphone amplifier headphone out.
Dimensions of the AIYIMA A07 PRO amplifier are 19cm deep x 11.5cm wide
x 4cm high and 637 grams in weight. The knobs on front measure 1.2cm deep
and are made of metal. The knobs include a volume knob and two tone
controls to adjust the decibel level of the bass volume (12dB/-12dB) and
treble volume (-9dB/+9dB).
There are also two metal toggle switches for power on/off and
connectivity mode (wired or wireless).
The AIYIMA A07 PRO knobs have no centre button
so, they aren't clickable. The knobs have a silent smooth rotation and
sit on top of standard potentiometer with stops. The knobs feel well
built and have a textured line finish. They do not rattle and have good
resistance too for gradual adjustment. The knobs don't have midway notch
for 50% value but they have white markings.
It's
nice that an external power supply is included with the AIYIMA A07 PRO. This gives you
flexibility when it comes to replacing the power supply, allowing you to use a
power supply between 24 volts and 48 volts. While it's nice a power
supply is included, it has three drawbacks. 1)It is a no-name brand, 2)
It is a 36V power supply, and 3) It is a switching power supply similar to
a laptop power brick, which is okay but a linear power supply is typically better
for eliminating power supply noise. On the bottom of the A07 PRO amplifier, you find standard rubber isolating feet (4mm thick)
