Mionix's newest mouse launch - the Naos PRO Edition - is possibly the greatest Naos yet! The Naos PRO mouse has the same ergonomic shape as the Naos QG with a long step along the right side for resting the ring finger. 

On the base of the Naos PRO, there are four mouse skates to help the mouse glide smoothly on a surface. Speaking of gliding, the Naos PRO is a equipped with a PixArt's PMW 3370 optical sensor, which tracks very quickly (especially at around 850 DPI) and freely without jitter and mouse acceleration. PixArt's 3370 optical sensor is very much flawless.


The Naos PRO mouse is non-detachable but to give you an idea of actual weight, the mouse weighs approximately 107 grams without the cable and 147 grams with the cable. The Naos PRO cable measures 1.8 meters long and, it's attached to long rubberized plug with a USB-A connector. 

The Naos PRO cable is made of non-stiff soft fabric and creates very little drag so, there is no need to use a cable bungee. Inline the cable, there is also a ferrite bead. The cable also has a rubber strain relief at the joint of the mouse to provide added reinforcement.

The left click and right click buttons produce a responsive loud click and they can be pressed 2 inches up the mouse, making the Mionix Naos PRO suitable for someone with small hands or short fingers. The scroll wheel has a very grippy rubber thread, as well as a clicky centre button and a smooth rolling mechanism (not notched) so, the scroll wheel rolls without making any clicks. Behind the scrolling wheel, there are two plastic DPI buttons (up/down) with a slight forward incline, making them easier to press without slipping off the finger.


The highest point of the Naos PRO mouse is 4cm high in the middle of the hump, which has a steep slope towards the back, making it good for claw grip. The Mionix Naos PRO mouse meqasures 13cm long and 8.5cm wide at the centre, which is the widest part of the mouse. The width is gradually narrower towards the front and back of the mouse.


The Naos PRO mouse is well constructed. Even when shaken vigorously, the mouse makes no knocking sounds and the buttons do not rattle. There are two RGB zones on the Naos PRO mouse found on the scroll wheel and the Mionix logo on the backside of the mouse hump. 

The RGB light color of each zone can be invidually addressed, which means you can set each zone to a different color. The light effect is not individually addressable though, so you can only have the same led effect for both RGB zones. There are 4 light effects to choose from: solid, breathing, pulsating and blinking. RGB color options include solid and color changing. The RGB light can also be turned off and adjusted between 4 levels.


The Naos PRO mouse comes with Mionix software support too, which can be downloaded here. The Mionix software gives you access to 5 profiles, as well as advanced settings for adjusting the perforamnce of the mouse. Settings include polling rate (125Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz and 1000Hz), pointer acceleration, scroll speed, double click and button remapping. You can reprogram all 7 buttons on the mouse and swap functions around, as well as assign other functions such as macro recording and profile switcher.


The Mionix software also allows you to disable a specific button on the mouse, adjust lift off distance (1mm or 2mm), turn on/off angle snapping and ripple control. The default DPI levels (steps) are 50 DPI (level 1), 800 DPI (level 2), 1600 DPI (level 3), 3200 DPI (level 4) and 19000 DPI (level 5). 

The lowest DPI level is 50 DPI and the highest is 19000 DPI and, you can adjust DPI in increments of 50 DPI. The Mionix software also integrates a surface quality analizer tool that asseses how well the mouse will track on a specific surface. The tool uses the mouse sensor to do the measurement of the surface so, it should be very accurate.


The extended mouse mat seen picture on this review it's the Mionix Alioth pad. It comes in different sizes. The one pictured is the large size, which is 45cm long and 40cm wide - making it almost a perfect square in shape. The thickness/height of the Mionix Alioth mousepad is approximately 3mm and the weight is 300 grams.


The top side of the Mionix Alioth pad is made of woven cloth, while the bottom side is made of textured rubber, which grips the desk securely. The edges of the mousepad have been reinforced with overedge stitching to lock the fabric and prevent premature fraying. There is branding printed on two corners of the mousepad.



The Mionix Alioth pad comes pre-rolled from factory but unrolls flat right out of the box, which is worth pointing out since some mousepads have to be rolled up the opposite way and can take several days to flatten. You can buy the Mionix Naos PRO and Alioth pad from Mionix website and amazon.
