EarFun Air Pro 2 are a solid pair of true wireless earbuds with all the bells and whistles! The EarFun Air Pro 2 bluetooth 5.2 chip supports SBC and AAC codecs, although it doesn't support aptX like the EarFun Free Pro 2 earbuds do. 

Both the Free Pro 2 and Air Pro 2 do not support bluetooth multipoint though; hence you cannot connect the earbuds to two devices at the same time. The earbuds also cannot be used separate of each other as two independent bluetooth devices, which is a useful feature that a lot of earbud manufacturers seem to be phasing out.

If you only want to use one earbud at a time, you can switch between earbuds for mono listening. The Air Pro 2 earbuds can be paired whilst inside the charging case and there is no re-connection delay. This means, the earbuds re-connect instantaneously to a previously connected device, which is super convenient, especially when answering incoming calls.


Charging time and battery life performance is very good. It is about 1 hour charging time for the earbuds and 2 hours for the charging case via USB-C connection. Quick charge is support, which gives you 2 hours playtime from 10 minute recharge. The EarFun Air Pro 2 charging case can also be charged wirelessly via a q-wireless charger, taking around 3.5 hours to charge from 0% to 100%. The runtime is 7 hours with anc turned off, 50% volume and streaming via SBC codec. With anc turned on, the runtime is 6 hours. The AAC codec consumes a bit more power (specially on android devices) but has lower latency too.

The EarFun Air Pro 2 charging case can store around 30 hours of extra charge and has a smooth matte finish with the word EarFun carved on top of the lid. The bottom of the case is flat. The USB-C port is located on the rear of the charging case. The earbuds are easy to remove from the charging case if your fingers aren't sweaty. The charging case weighs 44 grams and has an oval pebble shape, measuring 3cm high, 6.5cm long and 5cm wide.

Another feature the EarFun Air Pro 2 earbuds don't have that you get with the Free Pro 2 earbuds is game mode, which decreases latency even further - perfect for mobile gaming. The touch controls are highly responsive, requiring only a light touch without having to actually tap on the stem, which is nice. If you wear thin gloves, you may be able to operate the touch controls. You can control calls, voice assistant, anc/ambient, play/pause, track skipping and volume via a series of gestures, which are easy to remember. The call control feature on the EarFun Air Pro 2 is pretty good as you can answer a second a call just like with the Galaxy Buds and AirPods. It's a pity that the Air Pro 2 don't support multipoint though.


In-ear detection works well, automatically pausing and resuming audio within 1 second - pretty much instantaneously. There are voice prompts for ambient/anc modes and, they can be heard at 50% volume. But, they cannot be heard at 100% volume, which is really loud, thanks to the large 10mm drivers. The Air Pro 2 drivers are highly sensitive so, at 50% there is plenty of volume available for quality audio reproduction. At 100% volume, the sound is clear too without distortion.


The EarFun Air Pro 2 earbuds have a large driver chamber, although the earbuds don't protrude out excessively out of the ears. The earbuds have a short nozzle neck so, they don't insert too deep inside the ear canal, which is perfect if you have sensitive or small ear canals. They feel comfortable and secure to wear whilst walking and, you can even do some moderate jogging if you get a good snug fit.


The stem is thin and 2.5cm long with a microphone for calls located at the tip of the stem. The call quality is good. It is natural sounding with good amplification. Like with most earbuds' noise reduction mics, the Air Pro 2 noise reduction performs best when it comes to loud "bassy" type sounds. Not so much with loud voices like in a concert or busy coffee shop. The EarFun Air Pro 2 earbuds weigh 6 grams each and have a matte plastic body with a glossy finish along the stem. 


In normal mode (with anc off), there is good bass sound, which is balanced with the midrange and treble. When turning on anc, the bass gets boosted but without middling the vocal and instruments. Each earbud is equipped with two anc microphones for suppressing external sounds. The hybrid anc performance is good for quieting down bassy low tones like deep hums from car engines, heavy machinery, extractor fans and similar sounds. Ambient sound works well too, letting you hear external sounds for situational awareness.


The EarFun Air Pro 2 earbuds are almost a complete package, although there is no mobile support; hence no equalizer support or button remapping, which is are very useful features. Without app support, the on-ear detection feature cannot be disabled, which maybe a deal-breaker for people who dislike in-ear detection.
