Wile the Tronsmart Onyx Ace are small, the volume sound is anything but small, thanks to massive 13mm drivers packed, spacious acoustic chambers and large nozzle tips, which allow the Onyx Ace to deliver big sound, good bass and clear mids and highs. Similar sound as the Tronsmart Battle gaming earbuds.
The Onyx Ace also work well for commuting, as well as working out, thanks to IPX5 water resistance and a snug, comfortable fit with a thick stem that slots securely between the notch of the ear.
The Tronsmart Onyx Ace earbuds integrate dual microphones, one located at the end tip of the stem, while the other microphone is located on the touch control area of the earbud.
The Tronsmart Onyx Ace charging case has a chrome front shield finish that extends around the rim of the docking area and around the perimeter of the USB-C charging port, which is located on the base. '
The battery leds are arranged vertically on the front of the charging case, which has a nice ergonomic round-edge countour with a smooth high gloss finish.
The lid of the charging case has a alloy metal hinge that allows the lid to stay open upwards at a 90-degree angle.
While the Onyx Ace charging case has a vertical design, the base is rounded, preventing the charging case from standing up upright. The only two ways the charging case can be laid on a surface are flat on the front or backside facing up.
The Onyx Ace earbuds slide vertically inside the charging case about three-quarters of the way, exposing the earbuds high enough to be easily picked up with two fingers out of the charging case, which integrates a 400mAh rechargeable battery that takes 90 minutes to fully charge via a maximum input charge of 0.3A. The charging case can store enough power to recharge the Onyx Ace earbuds four times over.
Battery life is good considering the tiny 38 mAh battery inside the Onyx Ace earbuds. As long as volume is set to 50% and bluetooth connection is via SBC, you can get up to 5 hours from a full 80 minute charge. The Onyx Ace earbuds bluetooth 5.0 Qualcomm QCC3020 chip does support AAC and aptX, which provides a latency-free experience when streaming content. Battery life is shorter (4 hours) when connected via AAC on an Android phone.
The standby time of the charging case and earbuds are relatively good, especially for the charging case, which can hold charge for up to 3 months, while the earbuds can hold a full charge for 2.5 days while connected to a device. When not connected though, the Onyx Ace earbuds will power off automatically within 5 minutes.

The Onyx Ace earbuds turn on and off automatically when taken out and placed inside the charging case. You can also manually turn on and off the earbuds by holding down the touch area for 3 seconds. The touch area of the earbuds is responsive and only requires short taps to operate the functions, including activating voice assistant, answering/rejecting calls and controlling volume.

The Tronsmart Onyx Ace have a quick and seamless bluetooth pairing process that only requires opening the charging case lid to activate the earbuds bluetooth connection so, you can pair them to a device at the same time.
Once paired, you can switch between earbuds, keeping one or the other inside the charging case for mono listening.
