The EasySMx COOL 2000 is a much better quality headset than its price tag suggests and, it's multiplatform too!
You can use the EasySMX COOL 2000 headphones with your computer (PC), smartphone and newer games consoles including the Nintendo Switch, Xbox 360, the new generation Xbox One (2017 Xbox One Slim version) and Playstation 4 (PS4).
While you can use the COOL 2000 headphones with the Xbox One Slim and PS4, you will need to use the included standard Y splitter cable as it won't plug straight in. Also, the led lights in the COOL 2000 headphones won't work with the Nintendo Switch because the Nintendo Switch doesn't have any USB ports for plugging in the USB cable which controls the lighting.
The old generation Xbox One works also with the COOL 2000 headphones but requires a microsoft adapter which is not included.
The EasySMX COOL 2000 is a very comfortable multi platform headset  so you can wear them on for long gaming sessions or conference calling.
The speaker drivers are 50mm diameter in size with high sensitivity/volume sound (115dB) that is clear and balanced across the 20Hz-20kHz audio spectrum so neither the treble and bass are overemphasized.
The 50mm speaker drivers have a 32 Ohm impedance rating which is fairly low, meaning you can easily drive them from a phone to high volume with little distortion.
The headset weighs 327 grams and has a large ear cup circumference with a futuristic mesh-style outer casing made of rigid plastic.
While the EasySMX COOL 2000 are not noise cancelling headphones, they have a closed-back design that leaks very little sound so they offer very good isolation from background noises.
The self-adjusting headband feature works smoothly and it's easy to use. Simply place them on your head, pull down and the headband automatically adjusts to the size of your head while keeping the weight of the headset away from your head. The headband is wide enough to provide a comfortable fit.
The gooseneck microphone features a 1.5mm long, 4mm diameter omnidirectional microphone capsule which is perfect for playing online or using over Discord because of its high sensitivity pickup (-42dB) and noise cancellation technology that enhances the voice clarity.
The microphone is not detachable but it's flexible so it can be bent at any angle you like and away from your mouth when not in use. The microphone can be turned off and turned on via the switch located next to the volume control dial.
Speaking of user controls, they are mounted on the left ear cup and consists of an led button, volume dial and mute switch. The led button lets you cycle the backlighting effect of the headset from pulsating (breathing) orange and solid orange to off state.
When using the EasySMX COOL 2000 headphones without the backlighting and the mic, you don't have to plug-in the USB cable.
If you want to use the lighting and mic, you will need to plug-in the USB cable because it controls the led lights and allow you to mute the mic. The headset is plug and play so there is no software needed to install.
