When it comes to best of both worlds, it's always nice enjoying the advantages of two different things at the same time and that is exactly what you get with the EasySMX EG-C3071W gamepad controller!
The EasySMX EG-C3071W has the shape of an Xbox controller and the layout of an PS3 controller with the thumbsticks symmetrically dead in the center which is perfect if you are looking for an Xbox style PS3 controller without switched left stick and d-pad.
The EasySMX EG-C3071W controller measures 16 cm long, 10.6 cm wide and 5.8 cm thick so it's pretty much the size of an Xbox 360 controller. The layout of the buttons and rubberized analog joysticks feel natural, while the buttons feel tactile and responsive.
The triggers and bumper shoulder buttons which sit in front of the triggers feel also responsive. The triggers have the perfect amount of resistance to them.
The largest button on the front is the home button which when pressed powers on the gamepad and automatically connects the controller to the device the nano wireless adapter is inserted in.
You can also power off the EasySMX EG-C3071W controller by pressing the left joystick and the "select" button at the same time.
The controller shuts down automatically to preserve battery life within 5 minutes of inactivity. It's nice that auto-shut off is set to 5 minutes so the controller won't disconnect during long in-game cinematic cutscenes.
There is also mouse emulation support when the controller is connected to an Android device. This means you can use the controller as a mouse which is neat. To enable it, you simply press the right analog stick to activate and deactivate it. The RB and RT shoulder buttons double as the left and right click, while the right joystick moves the cursor.
The EasySMX EG-C3071W controller is designed for wireless use via the included nano 2.4gHz wireless dongle which you insert in to the USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 of a desktop PC, laptop, PS3 port or OTG cable.
The controller can also be used wirelessly with a Playstation 3 (PS3) console by simply inserting the nano wireless adapter receiver into one of the PS3's USB ports.
What's nice about using the EasySMX EG-C3071W controller with the Playstation 3 console is that it integrates dualshock vibration feedback so it supports PS3 sixaxis motion sensing games such as Heavy Rain (be sure to turn vibration in game settings).
The EasySMX EG-C3071W controller works with all Windows operating systems from Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10, and it also works with Android 5.0 phones and tablets via USB On-The-Go (OTG) cable which is not included.
The OTG connection to an Android device works by inserting the wireless dongle adapter into the OTG USB cable end and connecting the micro USB end to your Android phone/tablet. Then, you setup the controller to GamePad mode and you're good to go.
The controller also works with Android TV boxes (version 4.0 and above) as long as they have an OTG port.
You won't be able to use the EasySMX EG-C3071W controller with a PS4 console, Xbox 360, Xbox One because of proprietary connection  but you can use the controller with Steam Link and Steam software, as well as a smart TV.
The leds on the EasySMX EG-C3071W wireless controller let you know what is going on with the controller. For instance, when connected to smart TV, both led2 and led3 on the controller light up. All leds will flash when the controller is disconnected. Each led also indicates the amount of power left in the battery (i.e. led1=25% batter life remaining).
