Thursday, February 15, 2018

Whether dry land or wetland, you can take the SoundCore Sport XL to the beach, a swimming pool, jacuzzi hot tub and even water rafting without worrying about sand, dust and water spoiling it!
The Anker SoundCore Sport XL is solidly built like a tank so it can withstand the elements and pretty much anything that you throw at it thanks to its durable and fully waterproof construction.
SoundCore Sport XL measures 17.5 cm long x 4.3 wide x 7.8 cm high
Size wise, the SoundCore Sport XL Submersible Bluetooth Speaker is middle of the road between the SoundCore Boost, Soundcore Motion B and SoundCore 2 but it comes with rugged rubber housing and IPX7 waterproofing that lets you submerge the SoundCore Sport XL in water up to one meter deep.
SoundCore Sport XL weighs 600 grams
As far as the audio quality and battery life goes, the Anker SoundCore Sport XL performs very well. You get a really big sound thanks to dual 8 watt speakers which output a total of 16 watts of stereo audio. The bass and treble are superb sounding even at maximum volume. At 80Hz low and 20kHz treble, the SoundCore Sport XL frequency response range is very similar to that of the SoundCore Boost.
Charging the SoundCore Sport XL is pretty fast considering the sizeable 5200mAh battery built-in that doubles as a handy powerbank to charge your gadgets at 5V 1A via the USB port on the back of the speaker.
It takes 3 hours to fully charge the SoundCore Sport XL when charging via 5V 2A (four hours when charging via 5V 1A) and you get a solid 15 hours of battery life.
You will know full charge is complete when all three white LEDs turn off
As far as user controls, the Anker SoundCore Sport XL has a total of five buttons on top of the speaker, as well as four small LEDs with the top LED being the activity LED to indicate Bluetooth mode (wireless audio) and wired mode (wired audio).
The play button plays/pauses audio, answers/rejects calls, activates voice control assistant and skips audio forward (there is no skip back function). The volume buttons are dedicated buttons for turning the volume up and down.
The call handling feature in the SoundCore Sport XL is pretty good as it lets you also put a current call on hold (press play button once) and switch between held call and active call (hold down play button for 2 seconds).
When initiating Bluetooth pairing mode, the LED will flash blue rapidly and turn solid blue when connected to a device.
micro USB charging cable
When connecting the SoundCore Sport XL to an external audio source for wired playback the activity indicator LED will flash blue rapidly constantly. The audio playback is then control from whichever audio source you connect the SoundCore Sport XL speaker to.
If you don't have a 3.5 mm audio cable laying around or need a longer audio cable, you can get a very long, quality 3.5mm audio cable from Anker.
built-in noise-canceling mic.
The other three LEDs below the activity indicator LED indicate the battery level. Three solid white LEDS indicates battery charge between 65% and 100%. Two solid white LEDs indicate battery level between 35% and 65%. One solid white LED indicates battery level between 5% and 35%. If all three LEDs are off that means battery level is less than 5%.
Aside from the SoundCore Sport XL inside the box, you get also a micro USB charging cable, a layard and user guide.
