Liberate 2.0 built-in mic
From ear plug to ear plug, the Liberate 2.0 cord measures about 3 ft long and integrates in-line a remote control, an isolated microphone and a rechargeable battery that can power the earphones for over 10 hours from a full charge.
The Liberate 2.0 earplugs are also sweat-resistant and feature fast charge technology so 10 minutes of charging gets you 4 hours of run time. At 0.6 ounces (16 grams), they are very light weight so you hardly notice them on you.
The remote control features three buttons with the middle button controlling most functions such as play/pausing, reject calls, end calls. The other two buttons are for controlling the volume and skipping tracks.
The LED indicator can flash red, blue or both. When battery is low, the LED flashes red every 60 seconds. When charging, the LED shows solid red and when fully charged it shows solid blue. A slow blue flashing LED indicates an incoming call.
The isolated microphone is located seven inches from the right earphone so it dangles just on the side of the neck. The mic features also proprietary Plugfones noise isolation technology that works much like active noise cancellation in headphones by cancelling out background noise during phone calls.
As far as the sound, the Liberate 2.0 earphones have a flat frequency response which means the bass, midrange and high frequencies aren't emphasized so audio sound exactly as it was recorded.
